Hi! My name is Rebecca.

I am best known as Miss Bek. I have been working with children for 5 years and hold a cert3 in children’s services. I completed my traineeship here at Garfield Child Care and stayed onboard with a great team. I am currently studying for my Diploma and looking forward to complete ASAP.

I believe in offering children the opportunities to develop and extend their skills as a whole through fun and engaging learning experiences that surround children’s interest and abilities. There is nothing more rewarding / exciting then to witness children having fun, exploring new surroundings and developing new understandings. It is my goal to provide the turtles with a supportive, caring and stimulating environment that will assist them to grow to their full potential .The key to this success is through building positive and trusting relationships with children and families, as together we work towards your child’s growth and learning.

I believe it is important to have a trusting and open relationship with all our families, and look forward to getting to know each of our turtle’s families. Please don’t hesitate to come and have a chat at any time.

Hi,

My name is Racheal Downes. I have a diploma in children services and I have almost 2 years of working with children aged 0- 6 years old. I have grown in a big family and always being surrounded by children hence the great interest in making career working children.I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a educator to help children meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment,

(1) the teacher acting as a guide

(2) allowing the child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning

(3) promoting respect for all things and all people.
